Transfer Interim Demand Structure to DOP
Explanation
Use this activity when you want to create a DOP order structure manually
from an interim demand for a configured part. This activity requires that
the interim order has been created manually. The structure of the new DOP will
match that of the interim order.
To create a DOP structure from an interim order structure from the Interim Order Header page, click Create DOP.
Prerequisites
- IFS/MFG Standards structures should be defined for the part.
- IFS/Configuration Characteristics and IFS/Configuration Back Office
must have been installed, and associated configurations and back office
configuration rules defined.
- To create the DOP, the part configuration revision must be in the Released state and the structure must be in the Buildable state.
- To create the DOP structure, the interim demand header must be at least
in the Evaluated state.
- The interim demand must not be connected to any sales quotation, customer
order, or DOP order.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- A new DOP header is created in Unreleased
status, with DOP orders that match the interim demand structure.
- The due dates and start dates are set for each DOP order in the
structure. For
information on how this is done, see
Plan DOP Orders.
- If the site has Schedule and Create Load for DOP Order
Operations enabled, machine and labor load of source Scheduled DOP are created for the DOP order operations based on the quantity remaining to supply
on the DOP orders, plus the planned supply scrap for that quantity. This
applies to the DOP orders with manufactured parts that have the status
Unreleased and Create Pegged set to
Pegged Orders.
