Issue Material

Explanation

This activity is used to issue the required quantity of a part from the respective project inventory. Issuing can be done either manually or automatically. Manual issuing provides the option of issuing materials partially while the automatic option issues the full quantity at once. It is possible to issue already reserved material and/or issue material directly from the location without having prior reservations.

Prerequisites

• The quantity of the part, to be issued from inventory, must exist in an inventory location for the site.
• The activity must be in the Released status.

System Effects

• The material is issued.
• The values for the Issued Quantity and Issued Date fields are updated in the ERMPL demand line.
• The quantity on hand for the part is updated, i.e., the amount of the part is reduced.
• An inventory transaction for each location is created in Inventory. These transactions are posted with information from the Project/Project PrePosting page.
