Use this activity to define Fixed Cost Rules and Contracting Costs for individual Standard Tasks in the Standard Task Library. This ensures that each task has a predefined and consistent cost structure when included in services delivered by contractors.
A Contracting Costs tab is available in each Standard Task. This tab contains two sections where you can define costs:
This setup allows you to specify multiple fixed cost lines per task and per site. You can therefore charge different fixed costs depending on the Standard Task and the site where the work is performed.
The Fixed Cost Rule is disconnected from the Cost Rule IDs and Cost Rule Lines in the Contracting Costs tab, which means you can set or change the rule without altering defined fixed costs. This gives flexibility in managing cost structures without impacting previously defined prices.
You can also aggregate fixed costs defined at the standard task level and display the Total Fixed Cost per Site on the Service in the Service Catalog. This aggregated value is visible in the Contracting Costs tab and helps you assess the total service cost.
