Copy Document Package
Explanation
Use this activity to copy a document package and create a second document package. Documents within the package
are copied and recreated as document lines. Document lines include document class, associated revision type,
milestone profile, and hours planned. If the source document package has connected documents, you can copy
those documents and add them to the new package as new document titles and revisions. If the source document has a
connected electronic document file, that electronic file is copied to the new revision.
The Copy Original Document button copies the following data to the new document revision:
- Document Revision/Title tab: Values for the Document Class, Document Title,
Sheet Number, and Revision Number fields are copied.
- Document Revision/General tab: The document's access level is copied.
- Document Revision/Originals tab: Original information is copied.
- Document Revision/Consist Of tab: The document structure is copied. New documents are not
created. The new document will consist of the same document number as the original document.
- Document Revision/Approval tab: All the steps in the approval routing are copied but steps are
not approved.
- Document Revision/Correspondence tab: All the correspondence data is
copied.
