When creating a new business opportunity, an AI-based duplicate check runs automatically. This activity helps
sales representatives avoid creating duplicate records by comparing key information against existing opportunities.
If potential duplicates are detected, you are notified immediately upon saving the new opportunity. The duplicate
check compares the Description and Market of your new opportunity with existing opportunities created for the same
Account, Main Representative, and Company. Only business opportunities created within the last 6 months are
considered.
If no duplicates are found → the opportunity is saved normally.
If possible duplicates are found → a dialog appears showing a list of possible duplicate opportunities. You
should review the suggested duplicates to determine if they match your new opportunity. If confirmed, open the
existing opportunity and continue working with it instead of creating a new one. The new opportunity will not be
saved. If you determine the new opportunity is unique, you can still proceed to save it. A new record will be
created despite the duplicate warning.
The duplicate check is applied when opportunities are created via the Business
Opportunity page, the New Business Opportunity assistant, and related
dialogs in IFS Cloud Web. It is currently not supported in the CRM Companion app or in
the CRM panel.
