Define or Update Automatic Currency Update Tasks

Explanation

Use this activity to define the task definitions which are used by the Currency Update Assistant to update currency rates in several companies using information from one currency rate file. Further, this activity can also be used to define the task definitions which are used by the workflow to update currency rates in multiple companies.
The tasks defined can be referenced via the Currency Update Assistant in IFS/Accounting Rules. However, if the task is defined as Task for Workflow enabled task, the user will not be able to use it in the Currency Update Assistant.

Prerequisites

• Companies to be referenced must be available to the current user. The currency type specified must exist in the associated company.
• Workflow definition and Task for Workflow toggle should be enabled to update currency rates using workflow.

System Effects

The definition can be used by the Currency Update Assistant only when it is not defined as Task for Workflow enabled task. If the task is defined as a Task for Workflow enabled task, definition cannot be used in the Currency Update Assistant.
