Include/Exclude Components
Explanation
This activity is used to include and/or exclude components from the work scope manually. This makes it possible
to expand or minimize the work scope when the available maintenance levels do not sufficiently cover your
requirements.
To include a component or exclude components:
- Select the required node in the tree navigator in the Define Work Scope page.
- Go to the Assign Mx Level tab, select the required maintenance level and then click
Expand.
- To include a component, click on the Components not Included tab, and then click
the Include to Work Scope command for the required part.
- To exclude a component, click on the Components Included tab, and then click the
Exclude from Work Scope command for the required part.
Prerequisites
- A maintenance level should already be assigned for the parent part.
- When excluding a part, make sure there is no maintenance level assigned at the next level.
System Effects
- New disposition and/or disassembly orders will be created for the component parts included manually.
- Disposition orders will not be created for the component parts which are excluded.
- Parts included in the work scope will be shown in the Components Included tab and
the Actual Included option will be enabled for these records.
- Parts excluded from the work scope will be shown in the Components not Included
tab.
- Disposition maintenance level is set with the maintenance level assigned to immediate parent sub assembly. if
the Site/Manufacturing/MRO/Copy Parent Mx Level to Piece Parts is selected.
