Add Manual Event in Mobile

Explanation

Use this activity to add manual events in the Event Log for Work Assignments and Work Tasks.

• To create manual events for Work Assignments and Work Tasks, navigate to the Events page from Actions on the Work Assignment Details page.
• To create a manual event for the Work Assignment, use the action Add Assignment Event on the Events page. Select Add Task Event to create a manual event for the Work Task.

You can select an Event from the list of values. All events that are valid for the entity and marked as User Selectable are displayed in the list of values. It is also possible to enter an Event Reason and a Note to describe the event further.

Prerequisites

• The work assignment must exist on the mobile device.
• Event must be defined in Event Definitions basic data page.
• Event must be configured and enabled for the relevant Entity in Event Entity Configurations page.
• User Selectable must be set to Yes for the Event Entity Configuration.
• If using an Event Reason, it must be defined in the Event Reason basic data.
• To navigate to the Events page, the Work Task must either have no Workflow Configuration applied or a Workflow Configuration with the action Events enabled.

System Effects

• A new event will be added to the Event Log for the relevant entity. These events can be viewed from the Attachment Panel for the entity in IFS Cloud.
• Work Assignment Events can be viewed in mobile from the Events action on the Work Assignment. Task Events can be viewed using the action Task Events on the Assignment Events page. Task Events are only available when the user is online.
