Set Work Assignment Status to Work Started

Explanation

This activity is used to change the status of a work assignment to Work Started in mobile. This status is set when you begin working on the assignment, typically after arriving at the location of the work assignment.

If Automatic Time Reporting is enabled:

• An automatic work time Clock-In record is created for the Work Assignment when the status is set to Work Started.
• The assignment will be automatically Clocked-Out when work is paused or when the status is changed to either Completed or Incomplete.
• The time between these actions is recorded as a Time Report Record on the Work Task.

Prerequisites

• The work assignment must exist on the mobile device.

System Effects

• The Work Assignment status is updated to Work Started.
• If Automatic time reporting is not turned off via a Workflow Configuration, an automatic work time Clock-In is created for the work assignment.
• If a Travel Time Clock-In exists on the Work Assignment, it will be Clocked-Out, and a travel time transaction will be created.
