Check In Tools or Equipment
Explanation
Use this activity to return tools and equipment that were previously checked out from the tool store. This
process updates the inventory, restores tool availability, and maintains accountability.
Prerequisites
- The check out status of the tool/equipment should be Checked Out.
Procedure
- Log in to IFS Cloud.
- Open the Tool Status - Checked Out page. This page shows a list of checked out tools.
- Select the tool or tools you want to check in and select Check In. The tool check in
assistant opens.
- Select the technician who wants to check in the tool.
- (Optional) Enter a note.
- Select OK.
System Effects
- The tool status is updated to Checked In.
- Inventory quantities are updated to reflect the returned items.
- Tool Inventory and Tool Inventories pages are updated.
