Check Out Tools or Equipment
Explanation
Use this activity to check out tools or equipment that is required to execute the task.
Technicians can check out tools from the Tool Requirements page when a tool demand exists for a
task.
Technicians can use the Tool Inventory or Tool Inventories pages to check out
tools for multiple tasks or general use.
Prerequisites
- The check out status of the tools and equipment must be Checked In.
Procedure
Checking Out Tools From the Tool Requirements Page
- Log in to IFS Cloud.
- Open the Tool Requirements page.
- (Optional) Filter tool requirements. For example, by Assignee.
- Select one or more tool requirements.
- Select Check Out to open the assistant.
- In the assistant:
- Select the technician to whom the tool should be checked out.
- Enter Allocated Hours, Allocated Start and Allocated
Finish times.
- Select Check Out.
System Effects
- Tool/equipment is checked out and Check Out Status and Checked Out To
fields are updated on the tool/equipment pages.
- Check out history record is created for the checked out tools and equipment in the Tools Check Out
History page.
- Tool Inventory and Tool Inventories pages are updated.
