Return Parts

Explanation

Technicians can return parts that were removed from the aircraft and print part tags.

Part tags can be printed from the Returns tab as well, before returning the part.

 Technicians can go to the Part Tag Report Archive page to view and reprint part tags.

Procedure

You must be online to perform this procedure.

  1. Log in to IFS Cloud.
  2. Open the Task Details page.
  3. Go to the Returns tab.
  4. Select the applicable part, and then select Return to Inventory. The Return to Inventory assistant opens.
  5. Select whether to print the part tag.
  6. Enter a comment or remark.
  7. Under Planned Returns, select the part.
  8. Select Return.

Note: For part return and tag printing workflows to work smoothly in the mobile app, ensure the Zero Cost > Zero Cost Allowed option is selected the part from the Inventory Part page. Unlike the web app, which can prompt the technician for cost bucket information, the mobile app cannot support this prompt. The Zero Cost Allowed option must be enabled for all parts to ensure that returns and part tag printing can be processed without errors.
