Enter Scheduling Resource Information

Explanation

This activity is used to define a resource of a particular company as a scheduling resource. Defining the resource as a scheduling resource is necessary to be able to use the PSO scheduling tool. This can be done by adding a Scheduling Resource Type in the New Service Person Resource assistant. It is also possible to activate the scheduling resource.

Additional scheduling information can be added in the Scheduling Resource page or in the Scheduling tab on Service Resource Details. For additional information on how to set up scheduling resources, see Define Scheduling Resource. If specific scheduling data is not defined for a resource, it will inherit the data from the connected scheduling resource type. For example; the start and end locations of the scheduling resource type's work shift and scheduling costs will be assigned to the resource. For the start and end locations, the geo-coordinates of the map positions will also be transferred to the Scheduling Engine.

Prerequisites

• A Scheduling Resource Type must exist.
• The Address Start and Address End defined for the Scheduling Resource Type, must be connected to a map position with geo-coordinates, unless the address is defined on the specific resource, then that address need to be connected to a map position.

System Effects

The resource is setup as a Scheduling Resource and can be used in by the PSO scheduling tool.
