Create Customer Warranty Template

Explanation

The Customer Warranty Template is used to create predefined customer warranties for Models and Service Objects, for example, a rust-proof warranty. The Customer Warranty Template consists of following information;

• Warranty Price Rule - The price rule controls how a service is priced when this warranty is used.
• Warranty SLA - The SLA to be used for work performed under this warranty. Optional to use.
• Service Coverage - Services covered under the warranty
• Warranty Issuer Type - Who is issuing this warranty i.e. a Manufacturer, a Service Organization or a Supplier
• Warranty Starting Point - When the warranty start to come into effect, i.e.: Installation, Manufactured, Today, Manual
• Duration - How long the warranty is valid for

Prerequisites

• The SLA Template should exist in the SLA Template page
• The Price Rule should exist in Price Rule page.
• Services to add in Service Coverage should be defined as service items in the Service Catalog page.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a Customer Warranty Template will be created.
