Enter Warehouse Task Setup
Explanation
In order to make the warehouse management work, it is necessary to specify a number of default values for the
different task types. This is done in Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse Task Type Setup. These values are
specific for the site and task type.
The status of the task type setup decides whether the warehouse tasks should be created. If the status is
Active, the tasks are created, while if the status is Inactive, the tasks are not created. The task type setup is
also used in the planning and assignment of the warehouse tasks.
The warehouse task type setup can be modified at any time and will then affect the warehouse management
immediately.
Prerequisites
- The site that you are planning to use must have been entered in the Site page.
- The site also must be connected to your user in the Sites per User page.
System Effects
- The Task Type Setup Status will decide if warehouse tasks of this kind will be created in the system. If the
value is Active, the task type parameters are used for the site and task type. If the value is Inactive,
the task type cannot be used for the specified site and the rest of the parameters are removed.
- Default Priority for Warehouse Task is used when warehouse tasks are assigned to warehouse workers and is one
of the factors that decides in which order the tasks will be assigned to warehouse workers. The other factor is
the Operative Priority. If you enable the 'Copy Default Priority to Operative' option, the Default
Priority value will be copied to the Operative Priority.
- Warehouse Task Created Status will indicate the status assigned to a warehouse task when it is created.
- The Default Time Needed per Warehouse Task Line describes how long it takes to execute a warehouse task of
this type and affects when the task must be started in order to be ready on time.
