Mass Delete Closed Shop Orders and Clockings
Explanation
This activity is used to remove old shop order data, indirect and downtime clockings in order to maintain
optimum database performance.
You can mass delete data for a specific site, or enter the percent (%) sign to delete data on all. Enter the
date up to which you want to delete data. Data registered on the date entered will not be included.
Control what types of data that should be included in the mass delete process by enabling the different options
available.
You can also choose to schedule the job.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that shop orders has been created, processed and closed. Also, if you want to maintain
any history of the data being deleted, you must first archive it.
A closed shop order must meet the following criteria to have information deleted:
- The purchase requisition line connected to the outside operation must have no open request (RFQ) or no open
purchase order line.
- Any purchase order line connected to the closed shop order must be in the Canceled or Closed
status.
- All purchase order lines connected to outside operations on the closed shop order must be completely invoiced
and matched. All the supplier invoices connected to the purchase order should be in the PaidPosted
status.
- Operation history, inventory and shop order general overhead transactions must have been transferred to the
finance system.
In order to delete an indirect clocking record, the corresponding indirect transaction must have been
transferred to the finance system
System Effects
Essentially the mass delete closed shop order process will delete all the information found at the shop order
client level.
As a result of this activity, the system will delete the following data for that meet the above
prerequisites:
- If you enable Orders in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the mass delete
process will delete the shop order header record; all the material lines of the closed shop order and the
corresponding tools, notes and work guidelines; all the operations of the closed shop order and the corresponding
tools, notes, work guidelines and clockings.
- If you enable Material Lines in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the mass
delete process will delete all the material lines of the closed shop order and the corresponding tools, notes and
work guidelines.
- If you enable History in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the mass delete
process will delete all the records on the Shop Order History/Journal tab.
- If you enable Operations in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the mass delete
process will delete all the operations of the closed shop order and the corresponding tools, notes, work
guidelines and clockings.
- If you enable Clockings in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the mass delete
process will delete all the shop order operation clocking records of the closed shop orders.
- If you enable Requisitions in the Remove Shop Order - Closed section, the
mass delete process will delete all the records in the Shop Order Requisitions records
connected to the closed shop orders.
- If you enable Orders in the Remove Shop Order - Cancelled section, the mass delete
process will delete all the shop order data for canceled shop orders including material and operation
records.
- If you enable Indirect Clockings in the Remove Indirect Time/Machine
Downtime section, the mass delete process will delete all indirect clocking records.
- If you enable Machine Downtime Clockings in the Remove Indirect Time/Machine
Downtime section, the mass delete process will delete all machine downtime clocking records.
The following information will not be deleted:
- Shop order statistics and machine operation statistics.
- Inventory transaction, labor transaction, operation transaction, indirect labor and machine history
records.
- Connected purchase order lines or any requisition lines that have a purchase order created or request
created.
