Activity Finite Schedule Shop Orders in Smart Manufacturing Planning Board
Explanation
Use this activity to Finite schedule for shop orders in the MSO Smart Manufacturing Planning Board (SMPB).
This activity is applicable for either Manual or Automatic scheduling modes in MSO to create a finite schedule
for shop orders whenever manual adjustments are made in SMPB Insert Mode.
The schedule is created and optimized based on:
- Manually adjusted and fixed operations (These operations remain untouched and any overload situations
occurring from manual adjustments are rectified.)
- Plannable Shop order scheduling data such as Need date, Earlist start date, Lot size, scheduling direction,
and constraints defined in routing.
- Site scheduling data settings such as scheduling quality and maximum processing time.
- The site scheduling optimization parameters like set up matrix, project activity dates, and including
released orders or not.
Prerequisites
- Finite scheduling basic data should be created for the site
- The site should be set to use either MSO Manual or Automatic scheduling mode
- The site MSO dataset should be enabled and the MSO scheduling service should be active (Check server
availability)
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a finite schedule is created and saved back to the database. The order of
execution (schedule start and finish times) is set. Upon loading to the shop floor workbench, these operations are
visible to shop floor workers in the order they are scheduled to execute.
