Sign Off Operation Subtask
Explanation
You can sign off an operation subtask. This is compulsory in order to close an operation where the Sign Off
Required field has been set to Required to Close Operation. This procedure is normally
performed by a shop floor worker. It is possible to revoke the sign off.
This activity contains a security checkpoint which can be activated by an administrator. With an activated
security checkpoint on a function you will have to authenticate yourself again in order to fulfill the function.
Additionally, whenever a security checkpoint is successfully passed a security checkpoint log is written, creating
an audit trail of what is done.
To perform this activity from:
- The Shop Order Operation Work Guidelines page, select the subtask and click
Sign Off. To open this page, select an operation on the Shop
Order/Operation tab and click Work Guidelines
- The Shop Order Work Guidelines page, select the subtask and click Sign
Off.
- The Shop Floor Workbench page, select an operation, expand the operation and select
a guideline on the Guidelines tab. Select the subtask and click Sign Off.
- The Operation Guide assistant, for the selected operation, in the
Instructions and Subtasks section. Select the subtask and click Sign Off.
Prerequisites
- A work guideline of type Subtask must have been connected to the operation on the Shop
Order Operation Work Guidelines page.
- The operation must not be in status Planned.
- The shop order must not be in status Planned, Parked or Closed.
- If an employee qualification requirement exists for the subtask and the qualification check for the site is
mandatory, then the employee entered in shop floor workbench must have those qualifications to sign off the
subtask.
- When signing off from the Shop Floor Workbench page identified as an employee and a
security checkpoint is active, the user signing off must be either linked to the employee identified in shop
floor workbench, or not linked to any employee.
System Effects
The subtask will be signed off using the current User ID and date/time. If a security checkpoint was active and
another user completed the sign off, that user's identity will be recorded instead.
