Security Group access is essential for the mobile application to retrieve synchronized data from the server and display it on relevant screens. Security groups serve as a mechanism to control user access by restricting functionality, hiding screens, and preventing data from syncing to the mobile device.
This document provides a high-level explanation of the Security Groups and Entity Details, detailing their roles in data synchronization, screen accessibility, and functionality within the mobile application.
The table below describes the purpose and impact of each security group within the mobile application. These groups control access to specific screens and commands, ensuring that only authorized data and functionality are available to the user.

| BasicData | The BasicData security group contains entities that synchronize basic data, such as Work Type and Activity Type, into the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, the end user will not see data in the basic data LOVs. |
| CalendarBasedJobs | The CalendarBasedJob security group contains entities that synchronize resource allocations such as Misc. Resource Allocations, Crew Allocations, HR Absences, Training Allocations, and Project Allocations, into the mobile application. If the security group is not granted, the end user will not see those allocations in My Work Calendar. |
| Configuration | The Configuration security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for handling all types of workflow configurations in the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, workflow configurations will not be applied in the mobile application. |

Entity access is also essential for the mobile application as it manages synchronization control for specific data entities used in workflows. An Entity controls the availability of pages, actions and functions as well as access to data through entity filters.
