Use this activity to enter a Supplier Schedule Pattern.
Supplier Schedule Patterns are predefined templates that can be used to determine the frequency and timing of how
often a supplier schedule should be created by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) run. These patterns specify
which days of the week or month orders are to be placed, as well as the intervals between orders. For example, a
supplier schedule pattern may specify that orders are to be placed every Monday and Thursday, or every two weeks on
a Friday, assuming Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is run daily. These patterns help streamline the
procurement process by providing consistency and predictability in ordering, allowing both the buyer and supplier
to plan and allocate resources more effectively.
Note: When a supplier schedule pattern is selected, it can be used in combination with options Supplier Schedule Template, Buffer Days, and Start Date. However, the Frequency field becomes non-editable and is disregarded. If schedule interval is not Weekly or Start of Month, a Start Date is required. If schedule interval is not Weekly, multiple selection of Schedule Days is not allowed.
Example of usage:
Supplier Schedule Pattern, today is Monday April 1st 2024.
