Create Project Cash Forecast Version
Explanation
This activity describes the creation of a project cash forecast. The project cash forecast can be created in
different ways:
- By creating the header first and then adding the forecast lines. This can be done manually in
Project Cash Forecast or by using the New Project Cash
Forecast assistant with the Do Not Copy option. Cash forecasting can be done at
different levels such as sub project, activity and cost/revenue element.
- By copying from an existing Cash Forecast. The New Project Cash
Forecast assistant can be used to create a new forecast by copying from an existing cash forecast.
The forecast lines with details (for example, activity, cost/revenue element, amount and dates) as well as the
period spread values will be copied over to the new forecast from the selected existing cash forecast.
- By copying from an existing Project Forecast. The New Project Cash
Forecast assistant can be used to create a new forecast by copying from an existing project

copied over to the new cash forecast from the selected project forecast. The EAC values from the
project forecast lines will be copied to the Total Amount column on the cash forecast lines.
Depending on a setting on the project forecast type, the period spread values can optionally also be copied from
the cost and revenue spread of the project forecast.
