Delete Subproject Structure
Explanation
A subproject can be deleted in two ways:
- Delete Subproject Structure: Use this action command to delete a subproject along with its
structure and all connected activities.
- Delete: Use this button to delete a subproject that has no structure (i.e., no
activities).
If any activity within the subproject cannot be deleted—for example, due to reported
progress—the subproject deletion will be blocked, and an error message will be displayed.
For related behavior when deleting individual activities, see Delete
Activity.
Prerequisites
- When using Delete Subproject Structure, none of the subproject’s activities may have
baseline dates set.
- When using the Delete button, the subproject must not contain any activities.
- Any employee allocation registered to the subproject must be removed.
System Effects
- Using Delete Subproject Structure removes the subproject, its structure, and all connected
activities. All associated references are also deleted.
- Using the Delete button removes only the subproject.
- If the subproject contains the last remaining activity used to determine the validity period (Date From /
Date To) of an employee allocation connected at the project or another subproject level, deletion is prevented,
as the allocation would lose its date range.
