Handle Changes in PQL
Explanation
After the RFQ (Request For Quotation) has been created, it is possible to modify the PQL (project Quotation
List). Dates and quantities can be modified. All modifications done after an RFQ is created will update the
indicators for this.
After the RFQ is released more checks have to be done:
- Check whether documents or document survey are changed since the RFQ was released.
- Check whether characteristic attribute values have changed since the RFQ was released.
These checks are done manually with the available commands.
If any of the indicators are set, you can update the RFQ with these new values by performing the appropriate
command. See Modify RFQ From PQL, and Revalidate RFQ Dates From PQL activities for more information.
Prerequisites
- An RFQ must have been created.
System Effects
- The Date Changed label will set to 'yes' if the dates are changed after the RFQ is created. It
will be set automatically if the value in Wanted Delivery Date, Valid From Date or Valid To Date is modified
after the RFQ is created.
- The Quantity Changed label will set to 'yes' if the quantity is changed after the RFQ is
created. It will be set automatically if the value in Max Purch Qty or Std Order Qty is modified after the RFQ is
created.
- The Document Changed label will set to 'yes' if connected documents have been changed after
the RFQ is released such as attaching or changing a document to the Misc .Part demand line. It can only be set by
clicking on the Check Document Changed command.
- The Characteristics Changed label will set to 'yes' if part characteristics have been changed
after the RFQ is released. It can only be set when running the Check Characteristics Changed command.
