Modify Requested Quantity
Explanation
If the requested quantity of a demand needs to be changed, use the Modify Requested Quantity command to
enter the adjusted quantity. This will reflect the quantity change in its connected supply.
If a shop order has been created for it and you wish to change the requested quantity, you should not have the
shop order in Released or Closed
status.
Prerequisites
- A project supply request should to be created for the demand.
- A DOP Header in either Created, Unreleased or Released status should have been created
for the miscellaneous part.
- A Shop Order in either the Planned, Released, Reserved or Started status must have been created for the
miscellaneous part.
- The Purchase Requisition line must be in either the Planned or Released status. If a Purchase
Order has been created from the Purchase Requisition, the Purchase Order cannot be updated in Closed or Canceled
states.
- If execution of the change management functionality in IFS/Purchasing require that a Purchase Order Change
Order should be used to handle changes in a Released Purchase Order, a Purchase Order Change Order will be
automatically created.
System Effects
- The Qty Demand on the DOP Header is updated according to the Required Quantity on the project demand
line.
- The Lot Size on the Shop Order is updated according to the Required Quantity on the project demand line.
- The Quantity on the Purchase Requisition line, Purchase Order line or the Purchase Order Change Order line is
updated according to the Required Quantity on the project demand line.
- The Requested Quantity is updated according to the Required Quantity on the demand line.
