Reopen Activity

Explanation

When an activity is in Completed status, it can be returned to Released status by selecting Reopen via Status action command. Similarly when an activity is in Closed status, it can be returned to Completed status via the Reopen. This enables additional, perhaps overlooked, work to be reported before the activity is set to Completed or Closed again.

Prerequisites

• The activity must be in Completed or Closed status.
• The project must not be in Completed status.

System Effects

• The activity is in Released or Completed status.
• Cost and hours can be registered on the activity in Released status, or transactions can be transferred to Financials in Completed status.
• The Actual Finish date is removed if reopening from Completed to Released.
• The Completed status date alternatively the Closed status date is removed.
