Define First Article Inspection Header

Explanation

This activity is used to define the First Article Inspection header and Details tab information.

A First Article Inspection header can only be created for a manufactured inventory part.

To create a new First Article Inspection header, click New, enter the header information, and click Save.

FAI Quantity can be edited when the FAI is in Planned status.

FAI Origin could be Internal or External based on the FAI requested party, and if it is External, then Customer Order No can also be connected to keep traceability.

Prerequisites

• The First Article Inspection Required option in Quality Options for Control Plan Manufacturing page must be enabled for the part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a First Article Inspection header is created.
