Create New Request Quotation
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new Request Quotation via the New Request Quotation
assistant. After entering mandatory data to create the Request, you can enter the quotation information.
The created Request Quotation can be viewed by either its creator or users in the Access Groups of the Service
Organization.
Prerequisites
- Prerequisites to create a Request should be
fulfilled.
- A customer should be defined in the Customer page.
- The Service should be defined in the Service Catalog.
- The Service Organization needs to be connected to the Service in the Service
Catalog.
- If needed, the Reported Item (Model or Object) should be defined:
- The Object should be defined in the Service Object page and be connected to the
request customer as a Party in the Parties tab.
- The Model should be defined in the Model page.
- If needed, the Request Contracts should be defined with a Contract Line with a Price Rule, that covers the
specified Reported Item/Location.
- If needed, Customer Warranty should be defined in the Service Object Page. The
customer warranty should be Active and within the validity period.
System Effects
As a result of this activity,
- A new Request with a Request Scope will be created.
- A new Request Quotation will be created for the created Request.
