Quick Customer Order Registration provides the possibility to enter a customer order in quick and easy way. In main customer order page validation takes time when entering new customer order lines. This prevents users from entering customer order lines in a quick way.
In the first step user needs to enter customer, coordinator, site, order type, wanted delivery date/time, currency and delivery address. Note that based on the selected delivery address, the connected address information e.g., ship via, delivery terms etc. will be fetched as defaults during the creation of customer order. An Order No can be entered optionally to create the Customer Order with a specific Order No. If no Order No is specified then the Customer Order will generate a new Order No. When switching from first to second step of the assistant as well as when finishing the assistant to create the customer order, error messages indicate when the order number contains invalid characters or already exists.
Once the customer order header information is entered, user can navigate to Part Lines to enter part numbers and quantities manually in the list or to enter multiple parts in one go, using Add Multiple Parts assistant. Additionally, user has the possibility to use a predefined template or an existing customer order to insert multiple lines into part lines list, by using Add from Template or Add from Order assistant.
Optionally, user can navigate to Order Processing Parameters to process the customer order by entering additional information.
