Change Interval Maintenance
Explanation
This activity is used to change an interval maintenance presented from the due calculation. You can either
change the calendar due date of the interval maintenance or the due values. It is possible to perform the same
interval maintenance change on one or more child events (events representing replacement maintenance codes)
belonging to the selected parent event. This is useful for instances where the child event is executed along with
the parent event.
There can be different reasons for changing the due date of a maintenance event. The most common reason is that
an event cannot be performed by the calculated due date or value, e.g., due to lack of required materials. In such
cases, the authorities can grant a concession for extending the operation for a given period of time.
To perform this activity, search for the necessary serial from the Serial Maintenance page:
- And select the maintenance event you want to change from the Interval Maintenance tab, and click
Change Interval Maintenance option to open the Change Interval Maintenance assistant.
- Enter a new due date for the interval maintenance in the New Calendar Due Date field to change the
calendar due date of the interval maintenance.
- To change the due value of the interval maintenance for one or more operational parameters, enter a new due
value for the relevant operational parameter in the Operational Parameters section.
- Enter a note explaining why you are changing the due date or value in the Remark field.
- Use the Change Child Intervals page in the assistant to simultaneously change the interval
maintenance for one or more child events which are connected to the selected maintenance event. Note: It
is not possible to enable this option for a child event for which a change interval is already done.
- Enable the Run Due Calculation option to run a due calculation immediately after saving your changes
and to run a due calculation for the entire structure, enable the Calculate Entire Structure option.
Prerequisites
- The due calculation must be run.
- For a warning to be issued when the entered date or value is outside the number of percent allowed, this
percent has to be defined. For more information, refer to the activity Verify or Adjust Default Object
Properties.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the due date or value is changed for the maintenance event and if selected, the
child event(s).
