This page is used to import asset data into IFS Cloud via an external CSV file. The Import Asset functionality uses the External Files toolkit capabilities in IFS Cloud. Once the file is uploaded, the data must be validated and any errors corrected before the serial structure can be created or updated. Following attributes are supported for asset import.
Import from IFS FAM (Fleet and Asset Management) | Description |
Template Part Number | The template part number of the asset being imported. A valid, active template structure must exist for the topmost serial (e.g., if a GE90 engine is being uploaded, there must be a separate template for the GE90 part). This information is mandatory for import. |
Template Part revision | The template part revision of the asset being imported. If a value is not provided in the file, the Last Revision of the corresponding engineering part is automatically retrieved during file upload. |
Structure Position | The structure position associated with the entry in the asset import file. This information is mandatory for import. |
Parent Part Number | The parent part number of the given structure entry. This information is mandatory if the corresponding template structure was created using a template-in-template approach. |
Parent Serial Number | The parent serial number of the given structure entry. This information is mandatory if the corresponding template structure was created using a template-in-template approach. |
Part Number | The part number of the part being imported. |
Serial Number | For serialized parts, this is the serial number of the serial being imported. |
Part Revision | The revision of the part being imported. If a value is not provided in the file, the Last Revision of the corresponding engineering part is automatically retrieved during file upload. |
Vehicle ID | If the part is a vehicle part, this is the ID of the vehicle. If the Vehicle ID Mandatory badge is set to Yes for the vehicle part, this information is mandatory to create the serial. |
Part Ownership | The ownership type of the serial. For new serials being created in FAM, valid values
are COMPANY OWNED, CUSTOMER OWNED, or SUPPLIER
LOANED. This information is mandatory to create serials. For existing serials, the ownership
type will not be changed as part of the import process. Note: In the asset import file this value must be in uppercase. |
Owner | If ownership is CUSTOMER OWNED or SUPPLIER LOANED, this field specifies the customer or the supplier of the part. In such cases, this information is mandatory to create serials. For existing serials, the owner will not be changed as part of the import process. |
Manufacturer | The manufacturer of the serial. If a manufacturer is not provided in the asset import file, the preferred manufacturer will be used to create serials. For existing serials, the manufacturer will not be changed as part of the import process. |
Manufacturer’s Part Number | The manufacturer’s part number of the serial. If a manufacturer’s part number is not provided in the asset import file, the preferred manufacturer’s part number will be used to create serials. For existing serials, the manufacturer’s part number will not be changed as part of the import process. |
Manufactured Date | The manufactured date of the serial. A manufactured date is mandatory for LLP serials. |
Structure Change Date |
If a date is provided for the topmost serial, it will be used to:
Note: A value is required for the topmost serial if operational usage values are provided in the import file. A value is not required for child entries, and if provided, will not be used. |
Stress Rating Template Part Number | The stress rating template part number for the life limited serial. If a value is not provided in the asset import file, the default stress rating is used. |
Stress Rating Template Part Revision | The stress rating template part revision for the life limited serial. If a value is not provided in the asset import file, the default stress rating is used. |
Stress Rating ID | The ID of the stress rating for the life limited serial. If a value is not provided in the asset import file, the default stress rating is used. |
Operational Parameter 1 | Must be an operational parameter with the Time Parameter badge enabled or set as the Primary Operational Parameter for the serial part. |
Value after Overhaul 1 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Value after Repair 1 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Value Total 1 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Operational Parameter 2 | Must be an operational parameter with the Cycle Parameter badge enabled. |
Value after Overhaul 2 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Value after Repair 2 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Value Total 2 | The usage value corresponding to the specified operational parameter. |
Maintenance Program ID | The ID of the maintenance program associated with the serial. |
Maintenance Program Revision | The revision of the maintenance program associated with the serial. |
Workshop Code | The workshop code for the serial. If a value is not provided in the asset import file, the preferred workshop is used when creating the serial. |
