Start Certificate Approval
Explanation
This activity is used to start the certification process for a valuation. The certification process can take a
considerable amount of time, therefore it is necessary to indicate that the valuation is undergoing the
certification process. Once the certificate has been approved, the valuation can be set to the Certified
status.
When the valuation is set to the Certification In Progress status, it will not be possible to enter or
change the values on the header of the valuation as well as its lines and line items. The following toggles, on the
header of the valuation, should be taken into consideration at this stage:
- Valuation Completed - If this toggle is not selected, it will be possible to start the certification
process without completing the valuations or even without any valuation to certify the applications
received.
- Receive Application - If this toggle is selected, application values need to be entered on the
valuation prior to starting certification.
Prerequisites
- The sub contract should be in any of the following statuses: Awarded, Under Review,
Active or Completed.
- The sub contract revision that was used to create the valuation should be in the Active status.
- The valuation should be in either the Planned or Application Received status.
- If the Receive Application toggle is selected, the Application No field (on the header of the
valuation) should have a value, i.e., an application for payment must be connected to the valuation.
- A call-off in the Released status should exist for the valuation.
System Effects
- The valuation is set to the Certification In Progress status.
- Since all items need to have a valuation value, items that are not valued (empty) will be valued at zero
automatically.
