Use this activity to define calibration parameters for tool/equipment. The parameters to be defined are Calibration Base, Interval Unit and Interval.
For Calendar based calibration, available interval units are Day, Week, Month and Year.
For Usage based calibration, available interval units are Hour and Quantity.
Note: Usage based calibration is only applicable for tools used in Manufacturing.
Note: If the Interval Unit and/or the Calibration Base are changed, Value Since Last Calibration and Remaining Value Until Calibration Due are recalculated based on all transactions in the usage history from the last calibration date and forward (the time stamp for last calibration date is not considered, as we don´t have the time stamp for transactions).
For usage based calibration, on the Resource Details/Tools/Equipment tab, the Record Tool Usage option must be selected for the tool/equipment group. This allows usage hours and quantities to be automatically recorded when shop order operations are reported.
For usage based calibration,
When values since last calibration reaches the calibration interval, or last calibration date is reached, calibration status is changed to Calibration Due.
