Scheduling Workbench (Embedded)

This description is divided into the following sections:

• Resource View
• Activity View
• Map View
• Scheduling Assistant

Resource View

The Resources View provides information about all resources, including their current shift patterns and planned activities. It is divided into three sections:

• Left Panel (Grid View): Displays details of each resource in a configurable grid format.
• Center (Timeline): Shows the schedule for each resource on a timeline.
• Right Panel: Displays additional information such as exceptions summary, resource details, activity details, or a legend. These views can be selected via the toolbar.

Activities Representation – Visits to activities are displayed as bars in the timeline, positioned according to their allocated time. Activities may represent ongoing or future work. By default, activity bars are colored based on their status.

Interactivity – The Activity column shows how the activity will appear in the Gantt. Activities can be dragged in the same way as Gantt items for scheduling adjustments.

Activity View

The Activities View displays all activities and their current status, structured similarly to the Resources View:

• Data Grid: Shows activities in a configurable table format.
• Timeline: Displays activity allocations along a time axis.
• Exceptions Summary: Highlights exceptions for quick review.

Activities Representation – Each activity appears as a bar on the timeline, positioned according to its allocated time. Activities can represent both ongoing and planned work. By default, activities are color-coded by status.

Unallocated Activities – These are shown at the current time unless fixed to a specific time, in which case they appear at the designated slot.

Interactivity – The Activity column displays the activity as it would appear in the Gantt. Activities can be dragged in the same way as Gantt items.

Map View

The Mapping Tab provides a geographical view of schedule data for a selected date range.

• The map updates dynamically as the schedule changes.
• Colors on the map correspond to those used in the Activity View and Resource View for consistency.

Scheduling Assistant

The Schedule Assistance Tab helps match activities with suitable resources within a specified travel time window. The window is divided into four areas:

1.  Unallocated Activities: List of activities pending assignment for the selected dataset.

2. Activity Details: Key information about the currently selected activity.

3. Possible Resources: A filtered list of resources eligible to take the selected activity, based on current constraints.

4. Resource Details: Key information about the selected resource.

Interactivity – Selecting an activity (Area 1) automatically updates the possible resources list (Area 3). Corresponding details for the chosen activity and resource are displayed in Areas 2 and 4
