Define Appointment Template
Explanation
This enables a pattern of requests to be defined for appointments. The system will automatically create these
appointment requests internally over the scheduling window. The Appointment Template needs to be connected to the
Scheduling Activity Type in order to conduct Appointment Booking. The following are some important entities in
Appointment Template:
- Appointment Template ID - Defines a unique id for the Appointment Template.
- Appointment Mode - Chosse whether to request appointment slots untill the completion of the activity of
untill the start of the activity.
- Blocking - Requests that the appointment offer time slots be blocked out to prevent concurrent appointment
requests from using them.
- Appointment Window Length - Specifies the length of the slots that should be returned.
- Number of slots - Defines the maximum number of appointment slots to return.
- Day Pattern - Specifies the days on which slots should be requested.
- Time Zone - Specifies the time zone to use when applying time of day attributes on Appointment Template and
Appointment Template Item
- Auto Request - When Auto Request is on, the appointment booking request is triggered immediately when the
appointment booking client is opened, using the default values from the template. When Auto Request is off, the
Appointment slots are returned, allowing you to make changes to availability before manually sending an
appointment booking request.
Note: Auto Request is ignored when booking
appointments for a request with multiple tasks.
Time Zone Support
A user defined time zone is not allowed for the Appointment Template. However, the server time zone is defaulted
as the time zone to be used when applying time of day attributes on Appointment Template and Appointment Template
Item.
