Transfer Work Task to the Mobile Device

Explanation

This activity is used to transfer a work task to IFS Mobile Work Order. You can choose to transfer the task to a specific mobile user or to users who have a specifc skill set. The task is sent during the synchronization between the mobile device and the server.

Note: You must be online to view, accept, or start a Task in the pool. The Task will appear in the Pool Task list immediately, but its related information will only be available after synchronization is complete.

A Work Task with or without Resource Demand can be transferred to Mobile from IFS Cloud Web as a Pool or Pool-Keep task. Only Work tasks without Assignees can be sent to pool. A Pool Task is removed from the Pool when accepting or starting the assignment, whereas a Pool-Keep Task is removed from the Pool only if the user selects the option Remove Task from Pool when completing the assignment.

Note: Pool tasks with resource demand defined are removed from the pool only when the resource demand on the task is satisfied regardless of the transfer type Pool or Pool-Keep.

Prerequisites

• Work tasks should be created with the relevant information.
• The Person Resource should be defined. This resource should be set up as a mobile user.

System Effects

• Work Assignment for the task will be transferred to mobile or, if no assignment exist and task is transferred directly to mobile user, new Work Assignment will be created and transferred.
• The transferred work task will be displayed in the Transferred Tasks/ Work Assignments window in IFS Cloud Web.
• The status of the transferred work assignment is set to Assigned.
• The Transferred to Mobile option is enabled on the Task in IFS Cloud Web.
• The task is sent during the synchronization between the mobile device and the server.
  • If the task is sent to a specific assignee, it will appear in their My Work List.
  • If the task has a resource demand and is sent to the pool, it will appear in the Pool Work List for all users who have the required skill and access to the task.
  • If the task does not have a resource demand and is sent to the pool, it will appear in the Pool Work List for all users who have access to the task.
