Bundle Task Handling in Mobile
Introduction
Bundle Tasks are the grouping of multiple individual tasks into a single task, simplifying the handling and
execution of similar tasks.
Once Bundle Task is created in IFS Cloud, it can be Transferred to Mobile client. Only Bundle Tasks with Work
Tasks connected can be transferred. The Bundle can only be transferred directly to a mobile user. Pool
functionality is not supported.

Preview
Once Bundle Task is downloaded in Mobile, it can be viewed in My Work list and in
My Work Calendar.
Bundle Task details can be checked in Work Details, including the list of Work Tasks
connected to the Bundle.
Status Handling
Work Assignment generated for Bundle Task can be processed through statuses same as any Work Order. The status
of the Work Task is updated in IFS Cloud based on Work Assignment status.
Workflow Configuration
Workflow Configuration can be applied to Bundle Task. Set Configuration Sub Type in Workflow
Configuration to Bundle Task to apply the configuration to Bundle Tasks. Workflow Configuration
applied to Bundle Task will have the same effect as for normal task. In addition, the same workflow configuration
will be applied to all connected tasks in the bundle , so that , the actions of the connected tasks can be disabled
accordingly.
Reporting on Bundle Task
The following can be reported on Bundle Task.
- Time: Time can be reported automatically (based on state changes) and manually by the user.
Time is reported on Bundle Task level. The time reported on bundle task gets distributed among connected tasks
once the time transaction is synched to back office and distributed transactions can be reviewed in
Linked Time Reports. This functionality is available only when online.
- Tools: It is possible to check Tool requirements, Assign tool and Report usage of assigned
tools. The tool time reported on bundle task gets distributed among connected tasks once the time transaction is
synched to back office and distributed transactions can be reviewed in Linked Tool
Reports. This functionality is available only when online.
- Material: It is possible to view Material requirements created for connected tasks and issue
material for them. It is also possible to use Quick Issue functionality to report additional
material usage for a subtask. The user has the possibility to review issued materials.
- Expenses and External Costs: Expenses and External Costs can be reported on Bundle Task. It
is possible to delete, but not modify reported Expenses and External costs. Expenses reported on bundle task get
distributed among connected tasks once the transaction is synched to back office and distributed transactions can
be reviewed in Linked Expenses. This functionality is available only when online.
- Returns: It is possible to view and create Return lines and return parts to inventory in the
same way as for normal Work Tasks. Quick Return option is also available.
- Steps: It is possible to view Task Steps defined on connected tasks and report them. It is
also possible to create new Task Step with connection to selected subtask.
- Customer Signature : Customer Signature step is enabled on Work Assignment completion same
as for normal tasks if all connected tasks are from the same customer.
Reporting on Connected Tasks
Tasks connected to the Bundle Task can be reviewed in Work Details\Tasks. A user can
drill down the list to review connected Work Task details. It is also possible to use Actions on connected tasks to
report Material, Time, Steps, Expenses, Measurements, Tools, Material Order Receipts and Returns. The general
functionality available for a normal Work Task is enabled for those actions.
Miscellaneous Actions
Other functions available for Bundle Task are as follows:
- Assignments: List of all Work Assignments (including already concluded) connected to the
Bundle Task.
- eForms: Maintenance Surveys are designed to collect additional information about the work.
They can be triggered automatically based on state changes or started manually from eForms
action.
- Events: List of events generated automatically and manually during work processing
giving audit trail of the job.
- Mobile Integration: Links to external web pages or applications.
- Update Expected Arrival Time
- Highlight to Dispatcher
Disconnect a Connected Task from a Bundle
It is possible to disconnect work tasks from a Bundle Task if there are no transactions on the Bundle Task. When
disconnecting a Work Task included in the bundle, the following options are presented to the user.
- Remove from bundle and return for planning: If this option is selected, the Work Task is
disconnected from the bundle and returned to back office.
- Remove from bundle and keep for execution: If this options is selected, the Work Task is
disconnected from the bundle. In the next step , the user is directed to create a new Work Assignment. The newly
created Work Assignment gets assigned to the current user and will be available in mobile under My
Work List.
Service Report & Work Report
Service Report and Work Report for bundle tasks have only slight differences compared to the reports for normal
tasks.
- The Tasks section, available on the Service/Work Report for bundle tasks, displays the
subtasks associated with the bundle task.
- The Task No column in each transaction section, displays the Task ID associated with the
transaction.
- Transactions reported for the bundle task are displayed under the cost type Collective.
