Add Work Steps

Explanation

Use this activity to add Work Steps to a Work Task. Work Steps represent specific actions or checks that need to be completed during the repair process. They can be added while creating a new Work Task or by selecting the New button in the Work Steps tab of an existing task.

If the selected Standard Task includes predefined Work Steps, these are automatically inherited by the Work Task.

As such, there are two main ways to add Work Steps to a repair task:

• Assign from a Standard Task: Work Steps defined in a Standard Task can be inherited and applied to the repair.
• Add directly on the Repair Bench page: Work Steps can be entered manually on the Repair Bench tab for task-specific needs. 

Prerequisites

• A Work Task should exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, Work Steps are added to the Repair Task.
