Assign Work
Explanation
Use this activity to assign work to a technician for a Repair RMA Unit. Selecting the
Assign Work button opens the
Assign Work assistant, where you can choose
the technician responsible for performing the repair.
Once assigned, the related Work Task appears in the Assignments tab, and the unit is also visible in the
technician’s
My Repair Assignments list. The technician must accept the assignment
before starting the work.
Managers can use the
Depot Task Work Assignment page to view and monitor all current
assignments across technicians. This provides an overview of workload distribution and helps in managing capacity
and progress tracking.
Prerequisites
A Repair RMA Unit with at least one Work Task must be defined.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity, a Repair RMA Unit is assigned to a technician in the system.
- The assignment is reflected in both the technician’s My Repair Assignments
and the Assignments tab.
- The assignment status is visible to managers through the Depot Task Work Assignment
page.
