Review Warranty Status for the Part
Explanation
This activity is used to review that the warranty status of a part remains valid after the material has been
issued. Before issuing the material, the technician determines whether the part should be processed under warranty
or excluded from warranty. After issuance, the technician reviews the warranty status to confirm that the correct
warranty classification was applied and to make any necessary adjustments if new information is available.
Prerequisites
- A Work Task must require material supply.
- The technician must verify if any adjustments to the warranty status are required after the material has been
issued.
System Effects
- If the initial warranty classification is correct, and no changes are needed, the provided material remains
under its assigned warranty status.
- If the warranty status needs correction, the system updates the final warranty status accordingly, ensuring
accurate tracking of warranty covered and non-covered parts.
- The warranty status updates are synchronized with the IFS Cloud.
