Use this activity to handle situations where an item in a repair and return process cannot be repaired or should not be repaired. The activity supports cases where the repair is not possible or the repair cost exceeds the Not to Exceed Price. You choose whether the item should not be returned, a replacement should be sent, or the item should be returned in its existing condition. The activity is initiated from the Repair Bench window using the Repair Exception button, which opens an assistant for selecting the appropriate option.
