Create New Change Order
Explanation
Use this activity to create a Change Order (CO). A CO can be created either directly from one or more Change
Requests (CRs) or manually from the Change Orders page. Creating a CO establishes a formal
record of the intended change and links the CO to the relevant CRs for traceability and process control.
You can create the Change Order in multiple ways:
- From Change Requests: Select one or
more active CRs and use the Create CO command. The system creates a new CO and automatically
links it to the selected CRs.
- From Change Order: Use the
Change Order or Change Orders page to create a new CO manually.
During creation, you can link the CO to one or more existing CRs that are not already connected to a CO.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- If the CO is created from a CR, the CR must be in
Active status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- A new CO is created in Preliminary
status.
