Release to service
Explanation
Releasing an aircraft into service certifies airworthiness. This certification is done when you are completing
the last in-work work package for the aircraft and signing the last sign-off requirement.
When completing the work package, you can record the aircraft’s capabilities and ETOPS readiness.
- Current capability specifies the aircraft’s certified ability to utilize approach and landing support
systems in accordance with its configured capabilities.
- Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards (ETOPS) readiness indicates whether the aircraft
meets the operational and configuration requirements necessary to conduct ETOPS-approved routes.

- You must possess the skills to sign off on the work package.
