Release to service

Explanation

Releasing an aircraft into service certifies airworthiness. This certification is done when you are completing the last in-work work package for the aircraft and signing the last sign-off requirement.

When completing the work package, you can record the aircraft’s capabilities and ETOPS readiness.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Sign in to IFS Cloud.
  2. On the Hangar Maintenance Work Package Execution page, select the work package.
  3. Select Complete Work Package.
  4. On the Preview Release page, select Complete Work Package.
  5. Select Record Details.
  6. Select the skill required to sign off the work package, and then select Save. Repeat this step until only one skill remains unsigned.
  7. Select Record Details.
  8. Select the Current Capability for the aircraft and indicate whether it is ETOPS Ready.
  9. Select Yes for Release to Service.
  10. Enter the release number and any remarks.
  11. Select the last skill required to sign off the work package.
  12. Select Save.
  13. If digital signature is enabled, select Sign and complete the signing process. If not, select Finish.
