Add Shop Order Tool
Explanation
This activity is used to add a tool to a specific shop order. i.e., a tool needed only for this shop order.
To add a tool group, open the Operations tab and expand the operation to which the tool group
should be connected using the dropdown icon. Then create a new row, and select the tool group and required
quantity.
Prerequisites
- A shop order must exist with at least one operation that has not been reported yet.
- A valid tool group for the site must have been entered on the Manufacturing Tool Group
page.
System Effects
As a result of this activity,
- The tool group is added to the shop order operation.
- A separate record is created, and an activity sequence is generated on the Resource
Activities page for each quantity. The duration is the same as the total machine time for the
operation.
- A record is created, and an activity load sequence is generated on the Resource Activity
Load page relevant to the resource activity sequence. The duration is the same as the total machine
time for the operation.
- If external setup and teardown time is defined for the tool group, a resource activity and a resource
activity load are created for each defined time and for each tool quantity.
