Cancel Operation Result
Explanation
Use this activity to cancel reported machine time, labor time, completed quantity, or scrapped quantity for a
shop order operation.
To cancel operation result from:
- Shop Order Operations Reporting and Work Center Operations
Reporting pages. Open the Operation Reports, or Labor
Reports tab, select the relevant record and click Cancel.
- Shop Floor Workbench page. Expand the operation and open the
Reports tab. Select the relevant record and click Cancel.
- Shop Floor Reports page. Select the relevant record and click
Cancel.
- Time Card or Time Card - Details pages. Select the
relevant operation result in the calendar area and click the Delete icon. Only labor results can
be cancelled from these pages.
Prerequisites
- The shop order must be open. In addition, operation time or scrapping must be reported for it.
- The report may not have been created from a shop floor clocking. If the report is created from a clocking,
the result can only be canceled by cancelling the clocking record.
- When canceling a completed quantity for an operation linked to WIP products as the From
Operation, the corresponding quantity of those WIP products must be at the inventory location where they
were originally received.
System Effects
- The system returns the operation report to its original condition. If you cancel a reported scrapping for an
operation, the remaining quantity on the following operation increases with the scrapped quantity.
- Reversal labor and operation history transactions are created (UNOPFEED or UNOPFDSCP).
- If a completed quantity for an operation with WIP products linked as the From Operation is
canceled, a corresponding quantity of those WIP products will be unreceived from their original inventory
location. An inventory transaction (SOWIPUNREC) is generated.
- If a completed or scrapped quantity is canceled for an operation with WIP products linked as the To
Operation, the corresponding quantity of those WIP products can optionally be unissued back to their
original inventory location. In such cases, an inventory transaction (SOWIPUNISS) is generated.
- If Buffered Operations Reporting is enabled and the Adjust Schedule Due To Shop Floor
Reporting option in the Scheduling Basic Data/Shop Order Scheduling/Scheduling Server
tab has been enabled, at the next execution of buffered operations reporting, the shop order will be scheduled at
global earliest possible start time.
- When a linked tool usage history record exists for an operation result, the system generates a new usage
history entry to reverse the previously recorded usage.
