Cancel Tool Usage

Explanation

Use this activity to cancel a manual tool usage report on the Tool Usage History page. To cancel a tool usage history record, select a record with reporting source Manual and click Cancel.

Automatic tool usage reporting is canceled when the connected transaction is canceled. This applies to machine time, produced quantity and scrap transactions.

Prerequisites

A manual tool usage report that has not already been reversed must exist on the Tool Usage History page.

System Effects

• The Reversed field on the original tool usage history record is set to Yes.
• A new reversed record is created with negative quantity and hours if values were reported. 
• If the tool/equipment has Calibration Base set to Usage, the Value Since Last Calibration is updated when the canceled usage occurred after the last calibration date.
