Unreserve and Move Operation Tools
Explanation
Use this activity to unreserve stock records reserved against shop order operation tool demand(s), and move the
tool connected parts to the default inventory location. All reservations associated with the selected tool
demand(s) are removed and transport task(s) are created automatically.
To unreserve and return tools from a specific operation, select the relevant tool demand(s) on the
Shop Order/Operations page, click Reservation, and then
Unreserve and Move.
Prerequisites
- An existing reservation must exist for the selected shop order operation tool demand.
- The Return Tools with Transport Tasks upon Unreservation toggle must be disabled on the
Work Center/General or Work Centers page, for the work center
associated with the selected operation.
System Effects
- Stock reservations associated with the shop order operation tool demand are removed.
- Transport tasks are created to move the tool connected parts to the default inventory location, provided that
a default inventory location is defined.
- The Reservation Status field of the tool demand is changed to Planned.
