Unreserve Operation Tools
Explanation
Use this activity to unreserve stock records reserved against shop order operation tool demand(s). All
reservations associated with the selected tool demand(s) are removed.
To unreserve tools for a specific operation, select the relevant tool demand(s) on the Shop
Order/Operations page, click Reservation, and then Unreserve.
Prerequisites
An existing reservation must be present for a shop order operation tool demand.
System Effects
- Stock reservations associated with the shop order operation tool demands are removed.
- If the Return Tools with Transport Tasks upon Unreservation toggle is enabled on the
Work Center/General or Work Centers page, transport tasks are
created to move the tool connected parts to the default inventory location, provided that a default inventory
location is defined.
- When the status of an operation is set to Closed, any remaining tool reservations for that
operation are automatically unreserved. Transport tasks are also created if the above toggle is enabled and
default inventory location is defined.
- The Reservation Status field of the tool demand is changed to Planned.
