Use this activity to introduce hypothetical or future demands into a simulation profile on the Additional Demands tab. These demands simulate potential customer orders or other independent demand sources.
There are two pages to add additional demands to simulation profiles, depending on the planning engine:
You can control whether an additional demand is included in subsequent simulation runs using the Include in Simulation toggle, without needing to delete the simulation demand line.
For Master Schedule‑planned parts, you can use the Simulation Abnormal Demand toggle to indicate whether a simulated independent demand is treated as a normal demand or an abnormal demand.
