Use this activity to aggregate machine operation and labor operation loads for a selected Material Planning Scenario into predefined planning periods using the Aggregate Planning Scenario - Machine and Labor Loads assistant.
You can aggregate scenario 1 (the live scenario) as well as simulation scenarios. The assistant aggregates records into time buckets according to the selected Period Template defined on the Period Template Maintenance page for the site.

You can optionally recalculate the period template before aggregation by enabling the Recalculate Period Template toggle, specifying a new period start date, and selecting a calendar. It is recommended to use a 7-day calendar for the period template if demands or forecasts may have due dates that fall on weekends.
When aggregating any scenario other than scenario 1, the system calculates the total load difference between the current scenario’s load and scenario 1’s load for the same period. This is recorded in Total Load in Scenario 1 and Total Load – Total Scenario 1 Load columns on the Aggregated Planning Scenarios – Machine Load and Aggregated Planning Scenarios – Labor Load pages. Scenario 1 load values used for comparison are taken from previously aggregated results, if available. To ensure an accurate comparison, aggregate scenario 1 first so the period buckets and values are up to date.
