Use this activity to aggregate MRP and Master Scheduling results for a selected Material Planning Scenario into predefined planning periods using the Aggregate Planning Scenario - Material assistant. This activity allows to you analyze summarized material requirements, supply–demand trends, and projected balances over a meaningful planning horizon. You can aggregate scenario 1 (the live scenario) as well as simulation scenarios.
The assistant aggregates records into time buckets according to the selected Period Template defined on the Period Template Maintenance page for the site. You can optionally recalculate the period template before aggregation by enabling the Recalculate Period Template toggle, specifying a new period start date, and selecting a calendar. It is recommended to use a 7-day calendar for the period template if demands or forecasts may have due dates that fall on weekends.
Aggregated results include demand, open supply, requisitions, projected on hand, and other planning elements
needed for high-level material analysis.
This job is posted as a background job and can be scheduled for later execution.
Existing aggregated results for the selected site, Material Planning Scenario, and period template are cleared before aggregation.
MRP and Master Scheduling supply and demand records are aggregated into the selected period template.
Aggregated material results including demand, open supply, requisition quantities, projected on hand, and other material planning metrics become available on the Aggregated Planning Scenarios – Material page for review and comparison.
When the Recalculate Period Template toggle is enabled, the period structure is
recalculated using the Period 1 Begin Date and Calendar ID, and the updated
structure is saved to the template before aggregation.
